Using a Round Brush.

I've had many conversations with clients about using round brushes. This isn't a tutorial on using round brushes, just an encouragement.  Practice makes perfect, trust me.  Don't give up.  Your best friend is going to be sectioning.  Don't just dive into your entire head of hair with a round brush.  It WILL get tangled.

The Quadrus line by Cricket is one of my favorites.  It comes in three sizes and features a square handle which makes it much easier to hang on to and to turn.  It features a square barrel which can be used to create a traditional round brush look or to smooth the hair out straight.  Go to the Cricket website to find a store near you that carries them: Cricket.

Here is a great tutorial on blow drying long hair yourself.  They feature a boars bristle brush but you can also use a metal core brush depending out your hair texture:
