Since the holidays are approaching I thought I would offer some beauty-gift suggestions! These are my favorite blowdry products from Bumble and Bumble, along with my favorite brush as of late. I tried to think of products that could work for just about anyone. If you have any questions please feel free to post them in the comments!
Tonic Lotion: This is a great product to use for prepping the hair before a blowdry. It is a mixture of herbs and tea tree oil that makes your scalp feel great, helps to smooth the hair and helps to enhance the performance of the other Bumble and Bumble products. I like to spray it directly on the scalp and then lightly mist it through to the ends. It is highly suggested for coarse, thick hair.
Styling Lotion: This is my FAVORITE product for blowdrying and it is great for ALL hair types. It helps keep the shape of your blowdry and makes the hair sleek and shiny. I mist it throughout the mid-shaft to the ends of the hair, making sure to evenly apply the product. Spraying Tonic Lotion prior to using this helps to ensure that it goes on more evenly.
Thickening Hairspray: VOLUME! This product is very versatile. It can do wonders for any type of hair type if used accordingly. I like to spray it directly onto the roots in the crown area of the head to give added lift during blowdry. If you want a little more body throughout the hair layer it over Tonic Lotion and Styling Lotion. It can also be used as a regular hairspray on dry hair. It works wonders!
"Flatter Me Too" from Marilyn Brush: It has an hourglass shape to create tension so you don't have to continuously twirl the brush. The extra long handle helps keep the blowdry process from becoming cumbersome. The boars bristles smooth the hair while the nylon bristles detangle. They come in a variety of sizes. Check out
